So this is it. After eight packed weeks, we bid a reluctant goodbye to this year’s host of students with farewell formal halls at King’s and Pembroke, followed by a huge Great Gatsby-themed party at King’s. All the best for your future after Cambridge!
Greg, Deputy Director of International Programmes, chats to a student from HKU during drinks.

Pembroke students before formal, dressed in anticipation of the Gatsby-themed Party later. French student Pauline explains, “I wanted to wear a suit because the 1920s were an age of increasing independence for women.”

The formal in Pembroke hall, a three-course meal followed by coffee and mints. The food at Pembroke has an outstanding reputation among the colleges at Cambridge.
The party featured a silent disco.
A montage of photos from this blog and from the photo competition were projected onto a huge screen at the disco.
Adam (of PKP’s Got Talent fame), by now a familiar face busking on the streets outside King’s. His midnight performance featured some favourites from his talent show debut. You can watch a music video for one of his songs, which was filmed in Cambridge, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qaJ2ydd5IU
There was a DJ set to dance to in King’s bar, as well as space for people to chat and say goodbye to the friends they’ve made over the programme.
The party lasted late into the night.
