Scotland, sunshine and cycling

This week has been full of fun for students on the Pembroke-King’s Programme.

As well as enjoying Formal Halls at King’s and Pembroke, we’ve been to Edinburgh for the weekend. The keen runners among us made it to the top of Arthur’s Seat for an early morning view of the city, and others hiked the hills later in the day to get the lay of the land. We also enjoyed tours of the art gallery, a trip to the Botanic gardens and some fireworks in honour of Independence Day.

Back in Cambridge there’s plenty to keep us busy with club nights, jazz evenings and the Tour de France. The famous race passed right by the doors of Pembroke, offering perfect views of the riders. Two evening lectures this week promise to uncover even more unique treasures of Cambridge to enjoy through the rest of the summer.

Let’s not forget lectures, covering everything from history to architecture and mathematics to evolution. Phew!
